Search rankings are measured constantly. Whether an AI answer engine names your business is not. We ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overview the same customer questions across an entire market, then record which businesses get named — and which never come up.

What the Index measures
For each market we pull every business Google Maps returns for a category, ask five AI answer engines ten questions a real customer would ask, and record which businesses each engine names or cites. The result is a visibility score for every business in the market, not just the ones already winning. Each market is reported on its own figures; results differ between markets and are not carried across.

The index below covers 59 industries, 312 market studies and 11463 measured businesses. Each industry links to its cross-market study and to every individual market measured, every report is computed from its own market’s roster alone, and new markets and industries are added as their measurements complete.
